Great knives, block needs improvement
"The knives themselves are excellent – really sharp, well balanced and they look beautiful on the worktop. They aren’t dishwasher safe, which isn’t the end of the world but is a bit of a pain. Unfortunately, we’ve also experienced issues with the magnet in the block coming loose, which seems to be something other reviewers have mentioned too. Currently hoping for a replacement, as it’s a shame because the knives themselves are great."

Dangerous knife block and zero customer service
"I received this knife block set at the beginning of December 2025 and at the beginning of February 2026 I was taking out the paring knife and the knife next to it just fell out along with magnet, nearly slicing my wrist as it did so. Worried, I checked the other knives and on removing the carving knife, it too brought a flimsy magnet out with it. The block is now redundant as it is dangerous with the knives at risk of falling out and injuring someone. On trying to contact customer services, I soon realised there is no such thing. There is no phone number or even a chat function. I had to complete a form, which I did, reluctantly. I included photos with my complaint. This was almost a week ago now and I’ve heard nothing. As I ordered it online, I can’t return to a shop either. It is extremely frustrating. I am left with some knives (which were expensive) and knife block which is inherently dangerous and should be withdrawn from sale before someone gets a nasty injury. I have bought many items from Jospeh Joseph which I have been happy with, but this experience means I won’t purchase online again and certainly not a product such as this."
Better but still faulty
"This is the second one after the first one was replaced by JJ after two magnets fell out leaving it unsafe. Second one we’ve had four weeks before a magnet fell out…. For the money the magnets really should stay put…. . and the knives be safe. I would avoid at all costs. The knives themselves are very sharp-but ultimately the design doesn’t work"
GREAT KNIVES POOR BLOCK
"The knives in this set are superb, but the bamboo block they come in is not. Small magnet inserts which help secure the knives in the block are not glued in properly and seem to come loose and fall out. This happened to the first one we ordered and then the replacement also! A great set of knives but poorly made storage block."
Item Never Delivered
"Ordered item at the beginning of December, it's now January and it still hasn't arrived. Since then I have tried to cancel my order to get a refund, but Joseph Joseph are refusing. Currently looking at taking legal action. Never buy from this company."
Fantastically sharp knives!
"No longer do I need to listen to my husband moan about the blunt knives - hooray! These are fantastically sharp knives and even he (who used to be a chef) said he's scared of how sharp they are. Bought these in the black friday deals so worth signing up to the newsletter to be in the know."

"Great knives. Sadly the block is broken and trying to get a replacement is impossible even under warranty. I am not the sort of person to share online as do not think it is right or fair, but the customer service response is proving to be unnecessarily protracted and hoping this will resolve swiftly as there is no contact number or point of escalation"
Very disappointed
"This was bought as a 2 piece set. Unfortunately the smallest board broke after first use when I washed it and the knife block has magnets holding each knife in place, sadly after owning this item for only 2 weeks one of the magnets came away with the knife so that slot is now useless."
