Almost perfect
"Overall I do find this a massive improvement over our previous cutlery organiser which was a flat bamboo one with several rectangular compartments. The fact that you can lift out the cutlery divider to clean underneath also encouraged me to buy this product over previous versions from Joseph Joseph. However there are a couple of aspects that hold it back from 5 stars for me. The main one is that the top row of the knife block only fits very small knives. Most of our knives don't fit on the top row so we have wasted space on the top row and too many knives for the bottom row. Honestly a centimeter longer would be enough, it's only just too short. I think it's also designed with western handles in mind which tend to be thinner as our knives with Japanese handles take up more space and don't fit next to each other. Lastly the embossed icons in the cutlery area are a nice idea but normally covered up, so they aren't as useful as I'd hoped. I think we are possibly putting too many items in the cutlery holes, but they do get caught on each other and sometimes it's hard to pull them out. The teaspoons also don't have anything much holding them in place, so they tend to splay out and drift out of their section. But overall, these are small complaints and I still think this is one of the better options out there. However, I can imagine a refined version of this product being even better."
drawer insert organiser
"Very well designed and keeps cutlery in place so easy to find what you are looking for."
It's ok. I previously bought
"It's ok. I previously bought the non-extending version when I moved it did not fit the new drawers. I had been really happy with the original one. This one fits my new drawer, and it does expand. However, the quality is less than expected. The angle of the cutlery in the holders means it catches on the top of the drawer. Also the way the knife holder has been made, it does not hold as many as the previous one. Disappointed, but kept it as it fits."
